Gaita

...The violin and its predecessor, the rabel, are used in some regions, but are not common. Various types of wind instruments are used depending on the region, such as the upright flute called gaita, the simple clarinet called dulzaina, and bagpipes (also often called gaita). Percussion instruments include the tambourine (pandereta) and castanets (castañuelas or palillos), both of which have ancient origins, as well as large and small drums.
