Oishi Shrine

A shrine in Ako City, Hyogo Prefecture. It enshrines Asano Naganori, known for the Genroku Ako Incident, and the Ako Roshi. The shrine was built in the Taisho period based on a monument and a small shrine erected in the Ansei period. It is also known as "Ako Oishi Shrine." 兵庫県赤穂市にある神社。元禄赤穂事件で知られる浅野長矩(ながのり)や赤穂浪士などを祀る。安政年間に建てられた碑と祠をもとに、大正時代に社を創建。「赤穂大石神社」とも。
