Empetraceae

…There is only one other species of the genus Empetrum , found in South America. The Empetraceae family is a small family of three genera and ten species, all of which are small shrubs with evergreen leaves and are distributed disjointedly in both the northern and southern hemispheres. They are thought to be closely related to the Ericaceae family.
