(b) Siberian iris: This type consists of the European species Iris sibirica L. and Iris sanguinea Donn., as well as hybrids of these two species. By the early 1900s, there were approximately 150 cultivars. Since then, the flower shape has been significantly improved, and in addition to bluish purple and white, previously unfamiliar cultivars in pink and yellow have also been developed.
