...Historical jurisprudence thus developed into Pandectin jurisprudence, which highly developed the technique of legal construction (jurisprudence) for deducing all legal propositions from legal rules (Roman sources) (for this reason it has come to be called conceptual jurisprudence). Representatives of Pandectin jurisprudence include Karl Adolf von Vangerow (1808-70) and Heinrich Dernburg (1829-1907), but the most important is Windscheidt. His three-volume Pandectin Law Textbook (1862-70) acquired standard significance for the jurisprudence and legal practice of the time, and also had a strong influence on the drafting of the German Civil Code (the code as a whole is considered to be the product of Pandectin jurisprudence). ...
