...Besides Afrikaners and British people, there are also Germans, Dutch and Jews. Coloureds are particularly numerous in the former Cape Province (which was divided into three parts in 1994, East, West and North), and are sometimes called Cape Coloureds. The former Cape Province had a population of 5.09 million (1980), with 1.26 million whites, 2.23 million Coloureds, 1.57 million blacks and 30,000 Asians, making Coloureds the majority.
