...Also known as Buchmanism. It was founded by Frank Buchman (1878-1961), a pastor of the American Lutheran Church. He attended the Keswick Convention in England due to religious decline, where he received a spiritual awakening. He preached to students at American universities and at Cambridge and Oxford in England, and gathered a considerable number of followers, who then preached in other countries. Since one of the groups was mainly made up of Oxford students, it became known as the Oxford Group Movement, but it has no connection to Oxford University.

...Abbreviation: MRA. A movement started by Frank Buchman (1878-1961), a former American Lutheran pastor. Its predecessor was a student evangelism movement called the Oxford Groups, and after 1938 it was renamed Moral Rearmament as it placed greater emphasis on social change.
