borderline case

…Case that is positioned on the border or between neurosis and schizophrenia, also known as simply “borderline case.” While persistent hypochondria, obsession or fear, depersonalization, and other neurotic symptoms are in the foreground, delusions and experiences of being influenced are mixed in, and in young people, various behavioral abnormalities (violence, drug abuse, self-harm, etc.) are prominent, and treatment is sometimes difficult.
