Booth, JW

In 1869, he opened the Booth Theatre in New York, which he named after himself, and attempted to run it as a home for poetry drama, but this attempt was a financial failure. His elder brothers were also actors, and his younger brother, John Wilkes Booth, is remembered as the man who assassinated President Lincoln while he was attending a play in 1865. [Tetsuo Kishi].
