His nephew Bernardo Bellotto (1720-1780) was also famous as a painter of cityscapes and was also known by the nickname Canaletto. Bellotto left Venice in 1747 and went to Dresden, then Vienna and Munich, settling in Warsaw in 1767. In each place he was patronized by the kings and princes and painted the cityscapes of those places. …
