There are the following types of surgery for joints. (1) Arthrotomy: A general term for a surgical procedure in which an incision is made from the skin into the joint depending on the purpose. It is performed for the purpose of exploratory resection of intra-articular tissue, diagnosis inside the joint, removal of loose bodies, removal of the meniscus, and treatment of suppurative inflammation.
