Amphilochos

…In Greek legend, a hero and prophet of Argos. When his brother-in-law, King Adrastus of Argos, planned to attack Thebes, Amphiaraus foresaw the failure of the plan and his own death. Amphiaraus was reluctant to join the army, but he gave in to his wife's demands and told his two sons, Alcmaeon and Amphilochos, to one day kill their mother and avenge their father. He then went to war and was swallowed up by a cleft in the earth. He died. In Oropus in Attica, there was a temple to him, famous for his dream interpretation. …
