An international academic society made up of researchers in the field of economics who focus on mathematical and statistical methods. It is translated as the Econometric Society. It was founded in Cleveland, USA in 1930 by young economists such as R. Frisch and J. Tinbergen, with the aim of developing new fields in economics such as mathematical economics and econometrics. It included leading economists of the time such as Keynes, Schumpeter, BG Ohlin, and I. Fisher, and created new trends in economic research.
