Renchu-sho

Japanese: 簾中抄 - れんちゅうしょう

A kind of encyclopedia that provides the essentials for the daily life of court nobles. Also called "Unjo Monroku," it consists of two volumes. It was compiled by a man named Suketaka (possibly Fujiwara) and is thought to have been completed at the end of the Heian period, although some parts have been passed down in later writings. It has about 40 sections, such as annual events, imperial affairs, various provinces, Shinto ceremonies, and Buddhist ceremonies, and provides explanations in a mixture of kana on the main points of each section.
