Luba Kingdom - Luba Kingdom

Japanese:
Luba Kingdom - Luba Kingdom
A kingdom formed in central Africa, centered on Shaba Province in the southern part of what is now the Democratic Republic of the Congo. It is also called the Luba Empire because it controlled a variety of ethnic groups, client kingdoms, and chiefdoms centered on the Luba people. Along with the Lunda Kingdom (or Lunda Empire) to the west, which it had close ties with, the influence of the Luba-Lunda culture extended throughout the entire savannah region on the southern edge of the tropical rainforest in southern Democratic Republic of the Congo (up to the west shore of Lake Tanganyika). The Luba Kingdom occupied the center of the trade route across central Africa and reached its peak in the 19th century, but was weakened and disintegrated by the influence of external forces (Arab slave hunters, Western powers) and internal conflicts over succession to the throne at the end of the 19th century.
