As a logical concept, (1) a set of objects to which cognition is applied. In this case, there is the extension of a concept and the extension of a proposition. In the former case, it refers to a set of individuals that satisfy the concept, but traditional logic defined extension only for concepts. However, in the new semantics beginning with Frege, the extension of a proposition is considered, and the truth value of a proposition is its extension. (2) The extension of the object or set of individuals considered in a logical operation, that is, the noun in a proposition, is only a part of the whole extension of the proposition. (3) A characteristic that a proposition has whether it is a singular (including collective) proposition or a plural proposition. If the proposition is a plural or collective proposition, it can be considered to be a more or less general proposition.
