Died January 1935. Leader of the early communist movement in Siberia Korea. After participating in the Righteous Army Movement, he was implicated in an attempted assassination of Governor-General Terauchi in 1911 and fled to Siberia. In June 1918, he formed the Korean Socialist Party in Khabarovsk. In 1919, he joined the Provisional Government of the Republic of Korea in Shanghai and became Prime Minister, but came into conflict with Yi Seung-man (Rhee Syngman), who placed importance on diplomatic propaganda activities, and he withdrew from the Provisional Government to dedicate himself to the communist movement funded by Comintern. In 1921, former members of the Korean Socialist Party formed the Koryo Communist Party. However, after the Aleksevsk incident in June of the same year, he was placed at the mercy of the Irkutsk faction of communists and died in exile in Siberia.

朝鮮の初期共産主義運動の指導者。義兵運動に参加後，1911年寺内総督暗殺未遂事件に連座し，シベリアに逃亡。 18年6月ハバロフスクで韓人社会党を結成。 19年上海の大韓民国臨時政府に参加，国務総理に就任したが，外交宣伝活動を重視するイ・スンマン (李承晩) と対立し，臨時政府を脱退し，コミンテルン資金による共産主義運動に専念した。 21年旧韓人社会党員を中心に高麗共産党を結成。しかし同年6月のアレクセフスク事件以後，イルクーツク派共産主義者の風下に立たされ，シベリアで客死。
