...Some scholars believe that this family is more closely related to the Old World Shrikes, but it is probably most closely related to the New World War Warblers. The Red-eyed Vireo is found in North and South America. The White-eyed Vireo breeds in the eastern United States and northeastern Mexico, and winters in Central America south of Mexico and the West Indies.
