Located in Hangzhou, Zhejiang Province, China, this tower has been designated a national treasure. It was built in 970 to calm the high tides of the Qiantang River and serve as a lighthouse. The tower appears to have 13 floors on the outside, but has only seven inside, and you can climb to the top floor via a spiral staircase. 中国の浙江(せっこう)省杭州(こうしゅう)(ハンチョウ)にある、国宝に指定された塔。970年、銭塘江(せんとうこう)の高潮を鎮め、灯台の役割を果たすために建てられた。外見は13層だが内部は7層構造で、螺旋(らせん)階段で最上階まで登ることができる。そこから眼下に銭塘江の雄大な流れを一望できる。
