Born November 25, 1829. Formerly a samurai of the Fukuoka Domain in Chikuzen. In 1870, he succeeded in manufacturing rickshaws with Suzuki Tokujiro and Takayama Kosuke. In the same year, he received permission from Tokyo Prefecture to manufacture and sell rickshaws, and became the head rickshaw referee. He died September 30, 1890. He was 72 years old.
