Glaucophane (Glaucophane)

Japanese: ランセン石(藍閃石) - らんせんせき（英語表記）glaucophane

A representative alkali amphibole mineral. Its _{chemical composition is Na2(Mg,Fe2+)3Al2Si8O22} ₍ _OH ⁾ ₂ _. Mg and Fe can be mixed freely. Amphibole with a high _Fe content is called ferroglaucophane. Al can be continuously substituted for Fe3 ⁺ , but amphibole with intermediate composition is called crossite (also called blue amphibole), and amphibole with a high Fe3 ⁺ content is called riebeckite (also called sodalite).

アルカリ角セン石の代表的な鉱物。化学組成はNa₂(Mg,Fe^2＋)₃Al₂Si₈O₂₂(OH)₂で表される。MgとFeは任意に混ざりあう。Feの多いものは鉄ランセン石ferroglaucophaneと呼ばれる。Alは連続的にFe^3＋と置換することができるが，中間的な組成の角セン石はクロス(角)セン石crossite(青セン石ともいう)，Fe^3＋が多い場合はリーベック(角)セン石riebeckite(曹セン石ともいう)と区別して呼ばれる。
