Movement Disorders
In the broad sense, it is a condition in which basic physical movements are almost or completely impossible due to abnormalities in the muscles, joints, nervous system, etc. In the narrow sense, it refers to a disorder of voluntary movement (paralysis) caused by disorders of the pyramidal tract or peripheral nerves, but it also includes psychomotor disorders, apraxia, ataxia, and extrapyramidal disorders.

広義には筋,関節,神経系などの異常により,基本的な身体運動がほとんどあるいは全く不能になった状態。狭義には錐体路や末梢(まっしょう)神経の障害による随意運動の障害(麻痺(まひ))をいうが,その他精神運動障害,失行,運動失調,錐体外路障害も含まれる。
