Movement Disorders

In the broad sense, it is a condition in which basic physical movements are almost or completely impossible due to abnormalities in the muscles, joints, nervous system, etc. In the narrow sense, it refers to a disorder of voluntary movement (paralysis) caused by disorders of the pyramidal tract or peripheral nerves, but it also includes psychomotor disorders, apraxia, ataxia, and extrapyramidal disorders. 広義には筋，関節，神経系などの異常により，基本的な身体運動がほとんどあるいは全く不能になった状態。狭義には錐体路や末梢(まっしょう)神経の障害による随意運動の障害（麻痺(まひ)）をいうが，その他精神運動障害，失行，運動失調，錐体外路障害も含まれる。
