In photography, the range in which the brightness of a subject can be displayed as normal shades in a photographic image, that is, the range in which there is no underexposure or overexposure. It is also called exposure latitude. The larger the exposure range of the photographic characteristic curve, and the smaller the subject's contrast, the wider the dynamic range becomes. It is rarely used in digital photography, where the range of brightness that can be reproduced is called dynamic range.
