[Born] Around 1370 [Died] 1440? Dutch inventor of movable type printing. His real name was Laurens Janszoon. He was in charge of the custody of the sacristy at the church in Haarlem. He is said to have invented movable type printing around 1423, but the general theory is that J. Gutenberg of Germany was the first inventor.
