Detonator - Lycan

Japanese:
Detonator - Lycan

A container filled with explosives to ignite or detonate gunpowder or explosives. The container can be made of metal or plastic. Detonators that are attached to live or blank guns to ignite smokeless powder are called ignition detonators, and gun detonators are one type of detonator. Detonators that are attached to explosives to detonate them are called detonation detonators, and industrial detonators and electric detonators are two types of detonators. Industrial detonators use a fuse to detonate, while electric detonators detonate by igniting an ignition ball when electricity is passed through them. There are instantaneous detonators that detonate directly when electricity is passed through them, and delayed detonators that have a delay between electric ignition and detonation. Detonators with a time interval of 0.25 s are called DS, and those with an interval of 10 to 25 ms are called MS. There are also electric detonators for seismic exploration that have a time interval of 0.1 ms or less from passing electricity to detonation. With an instantaneous electric detonator, the time from when electricity is applied to when it detonates is about 2 ms. Detonators come in sizes 1 through 10, depending on the amount of high explosive packed inside, and as the size number increases the amount of explosive increases and the detonator becomes more powerful. Number 6 detonators are the most commonly used worldwide. According to the JIS standard, the tube length is 35 mm, the outer diameter is 6.5 mm, the point explosive is 0.4 g, and the base charge is 0.45 g.
