An old town in Jinseki County, in the Kibi Plateau, eastern Hiroshima Prefecture. The main settlement is a town village along National Route 182. It is known for producing Jinseki beef. It also produces rice, flowers, konjac, shiitake mushrooms, and tobacco leaves. In November 2004, it merged with Jinseki Town, Miwa Town, and Toyomatsu Village in Jinseki County to become Jinsekikogen Town. 98.02 km2 . 3,236 people (2003).
