Early modern daimyo and hatamoto. Originally from Omi Province. The Katae served both the Oda and Toyotomi clans, and under Hideyoshi held 23,000 koku of land in Sanda, Settsu. Their son, Iemori, served Tokugawa Ieyasu in 1600 (Keicho 5), and the following year was transferred to Wakasa in Inaba (30,000 koku). He later went on to Nariwa in Bitchu and Tomioka in Higo (40,000 koku), before moving to Marugame in Sanuki (50,000 koku) in 1641. Through division of the land, his fief was reduced to 45,000 koku, and in 1657 (Meireki 3), Haruyori died, leaving the family without an heir. Meanwhile, Toyohashi, who was granted 5,000 koku of land in Sanuki, transferred his fief to Nariwa, the former territory of the main family, in 1658.
