A village in the Haute-Garonne department in southwestern France. Population: about 500. Paleolithic cave remains. Discovered in 1922 by N. Casteret, the cave is about 2.5 km long, and many clay animal figures were found in the deepest part of a 200 m-long subcave, about 1 km from the entrance. A clay carving of a headless bear has 42 deep holes in its body made by javelins, and it seems that originally a real bear's head was attached to it.
