A mountain on the border between Morotsuka Village and Takachiho Town in northwest Miyazaki Prefecture. It is 1,342m above sea level. It is also called Nanatsuyama or Taihakuyama. The geology is made up of Paleozoic limestone, slate, and sandstone. At the top of the mountain is Morotsuka Shrine (which was renamed from Nanatsuyama Shrine in 1925), and there is a legend that a man named Taihaku came to this mountain from Wu in China and prayed in seclusion.
