Japanese: 盛花 - もりばな

〘 noun 〙① In ikebana, a style of arranging flowers in a low, dish-shaped container such as a basket or a water basin. Also, the flower itself. In general, it also refers to flowers arranged decoratively. ※In Construction (1910) by Mori Ogai, "In the center was a beautiful basket of flowers with azaleas and rhododendrons arranged in it." ② Salt piled up at the entrance of entertainment districts, restaurants, etc. Morijio. ※Iya na kanji (Iyana kanji , 1960-63) by Takami Jun, "In front of the shop where the cool water had been sprinkled, there was already a pile of flowers ( salt) piled up."
