A Chinese poet of the Meiji period. His given name was Kintai, his pen name was Tairai, his nickname was Taijiro, and his pen names were Kainan, Akiha Zenro, Kikuno Tanjin, etc. He was born in Nagoya as the son of Mori Shuntou. He first learned poetry from his father and Chinese classics from the Chinese national Kin Kaho, and after moving to Tokyo he studied under Washizu Kido and Mishima Nakasu. After entering the service of the Dajokan in 1881, he served as a member of the Privy Council, editor of the Library Bureau, and official of the Ceremonies, and taught Chinese literature as a lecturer in the Faculty of Letters of the Imperial University. He was known for his brilliant and brilliant poetry, which he inherited from his father and advocated Qing poetry, and he founded the Hoshi-sha in 1890 and the Suio-gin-sha in 1902, and reigned over the poetry world. He was also favored by important figures in the Meiji government such as Sanjo Sanetomi and Ito Hirobumi, and in 1909 he accompanied Ito Hirobumi in Harbin and suffered a gunshot wound. 明治時代の漢詩人。名は公泰,字は大来,通称は泰二郎,号は槐南,秋波禅侶,菊如澹人など。森春濤 の子として名古屋に生まれた。初めは父に詩を,清国人金嘉穂に漢学を学び,上京後は鷲津毅堂,三島中洲 に師事した。明治14(1881)年に太政官に出仕して以後,枢密院属,図書寮編集官,式部官などを歴任,帝国大学文科大学講師として中国文学を講じた。父親譲りの清詩を標榜した才気溢れる絢爛たる詩をよくし,23年には星社,37年には随鴎吟社を興して詩壇に君臨。また三条実美,伊藤博文など明治政府の要人の愛顧を受け,42年には伊藤博文に随行してハルビンで難に遭い,銃創を負った。『槐南集』『槐南遺稿』『補春天伝奇』『唐詩選評釈』などの著書がある。<参考文献>『日本漢詩』下(新釈漢文大系),入谷仙介『近代文学としての明治漢詩』
