Refers to the subordinates led by the sword -bearing teacher, a military officer who guarded the Spring Palace under the Ritsuryo system. ※Heihanki - Nin'an 3rd year (1168), March 9th, "Tateto-no-ue says ( abbreviated ) Rengo-san"④ In Noh, a person who accompanies the performer or waki (supporting actor) and helps with the performance. zure [connection]

"With children," "With parent and child," "With two people," etc. ※Kakushihon Ukiyoburo (1809-13), mae "Obikuni, futarire ni kuru"② Used with a noun to express that one is at most a member of the group, to belittle or humble oneself. ※Gyokujinsho (1563), 24 "Small birds like hawks and sparrows can do no good to big birds like wild cranes and cranes."③ Used with a person's name or a word representing a person to belittle or insult them. ※Amakusa Hon Heike (1592) 4 "If you are defeated , you will not be able to fight."

Muraji [Ren]

〘Name〙 (meaning "muranushi (village chief)")① A surname . Before the Ritsuryo system, it was given to those who were divinely appointed as chiefs. Many of them were powerful clans on a par with omi , and at the highest rank of vassals, omuraji were appointed by the Otomo and Mononobe clans to be in charge of imperial government. ※Kojiki (712), Vol. 1 "These three Watatsumi deities are the ancestors of Azumi no Muraji and Iitsuku no Mikoto." ② The seventh of the eight surnames established during the reign of Emperor Tenmu . ※Shaku Nihongi (1274-1301), Vol. 21 "The surname kabane was given to the thirty-eight clans ( Misochiamariyauchi ) and they were called murashi ."

Tsurubu (connection)

むらじ【連】

〘名〙 (「むらぬし(村主)」の意か)① 姓(かばね)の名。令制前、首長の称号として神別(しんべつ)の者に賜わった。臣(おみ)と並ぶ有力豪族が多く、臣下の最高位にあって、大伴(おおとも)氏、物部(もののべ)氏からは大連(おおむらじ)が任ぜられて朝政を担当した。※古事記(712)上「此三柱の綿津見神は、阿曇連(むらじ)等が祖神と以伊都久神ぞ」② 天武天皇の時に制定された八色(やくさ)の姓(かばね)の七番目の姓。※釈日本紀(1274‐1301)二一「卅八氏(みそちあまりやうち)に姓(かはね)を賜(たま)ふて連(ムラシ)と曰ふ」
