Minpao (English spelling)

Japanese: 民報 - みんぽう（英語表記）Min pao

This was the official journal of the China Revolutionary Alliance, a revolutionary group in the late Qing Dynasty. It was a monthly magazine that was published in Tokyo from the first issue (November 1905) to the 24th issue (October 1908). After it was banned by the Japanese government, the 25th and 26th issues (February 10) were secretly published. Zhang Ji and Zhang Binglin served as editors-in-chief and promoted revolutionary ideas for the overthrow of the Qing Dynasty and the establishment of a republican state, and debated with Liang Qichao and others in Xinmin Congbao, which advocated a constitutional monarchy. It was a popular read for students studying in Japan and overseas Chinese, and was widely smuggled into China, making a major contribution to the spread of revolutionary ideas.

中国，清末の革命団体である中国革命同盟会の機関誌。月刊雑誌で，創刊号 (1905.11.) から 24号 (08.10.) まで東京で発行され，日本政府に発禁処分に付されたあと，25，26号 (10.2.) が秘密出版された。張継，章炳麟らが主筆をつとめて清朝打倒，共和国家樹立の革命論を鼓吹し，立憲君主制を主張する梁啓超ら『新民叢報』と論戦を行なった。日本留学生や海外華僑に愛読され，中国へも盛んに密輸されて革命思想の普及に大きな貢献をした。
