Iranian historian. He served under Subkhtigin, Mahmud, and Mas'ud of the Ghaznid dynasty. In 999 he received diplomatic orders from Georgia and was later appointed postmaster of the Kanji-Rustaq station. His main Arabic work, Kitāb al-Yamīnī, is a history of the Mahmud period and was translated into Persian in 1205/6.

イランの歴史家。ガズニー朝のスブクティギーン，マフムード，マスウードに仕えた。 999年には外交上の命を受けてグルジアにおもむき，その後カンジ・ルスタークの駅逓局長に任じられている。アラビア語による主著『ヤミーニーの書』 Kitāb al-Yamīnīはマフムード時代の歴史を書いたもので，1205/6年ペルシア語に訳されている。
