Miyabe Nagahiro

A military commander in the Azuchi-Momoyama period. Son of Tsuyoshi. Served Toyotomi Hideyoshi, and in 1586 (Tensho 14), was appointed Junior Fifth Rank, Hyobu Shoyu, and given the surname Toyotomi. In 1592 (Bunroku 1), he participated in the Bunroku Invasion and sailed to Korea. In 1596 (Keicho 1), he inherited Inaba, Hoki, Futaka District, Tajima, and Tottori Castle with 130,000 koku of land. In the Battle of Sekigahara in 1600, he participated in Tokugawa Ieyasu's campaign against the Uesugi clan, but later joined the Western Army and participated in the sieges of Fushimi Castle and Otsu Castle. After the war, his territory was confiscated, and he was placed under house arrest under Nanbu Toshinao. He shaved his head, took the title of Chorei, and died in Morioka.

安土桃山時代の武将。継潤の子。豊臣秀吉に仕え，1586年(天正14)従五位下兵部少輔，豊臣の姓を与えられる。92年(文禄1)文禄の役に従軍し朝鮮へ渡海。96年(慶長1)因幡，伯耆，但馬二方郡，鳥取城13万石余を相続する。1600年関ヶ原の戦では徳川家康の上杉征伐に従軍したが，のち西軍となり伏見城，大津城攻めに参加。戦後所領を没収され，南部利直のもとで蟄居（ちつきよ）。剃髪して長令と称し，盛岡で死んだ。
