? - 1634 (Kan'ei 11) A military commander in the Azuchi-Momoyama period. Son of Tsuyoshi. Served Toyotomi Hideyoshi, and in 1586 (Tensho 14), was appointed Junior Fifth Rank, Hyobu Shoyu, and given the surname Toyotomi. In 1592 (Bunroku 1), he participated in the Bunroku Invasion and sailed to Korea. In 1596 (Keicho 1), he inherited Inaba, Hoki, Futaka District, Tajima, and Tottori Castle with 130,000 koku of land. In the Battle of Sekigahara in 1600, he participated in Tokugawa Ieyasu's campaign against the Uesugi clan, but later joined the Western Army and participated in the sieges of Fushimi Castle and Otsu Castle. After the war, his territory was confiscated, and he was placed under house arrest under Nanbu Toshinao. He shaved his head, took the title of Chorei, and died in Morioka.
