Masazane Minamoto

Japanese: 源雅実 - みなもとのまさざね

1059-1127 A court noble in the late Heian period.
Born in the second year of Kohei. The eldest son of Minamoto Akifusa. His mother was the daughter of Minamoto Takatoshi. He was the founder of the Koga clan. In the first year of Jōryaku (1077), he became a councillor. He rose to the rank of Junior First Rank, and in the third year of Hoan (1122), he became the first Prime Minister of the Minamoto clan. He was called the Prime Minister of the Koga clan. He excelled in dance music, and by imperial order, he taught the secret music of Konju to Oono Tadakata. He died on February 15, the second year of Daiji (121). He was 69 years old. His diary is called "Masami Koki".

康平2年生まれ。源顕房(あきふさ)の長男。母は源隆俊の娘。久我(こが)家の祖。承暦(じょうりゃく)元年(1077)参議。従一位にすすみ,保安3年(1122)源氏初の太政大臣となる。久我太政大臣とよばれた。舞曲にすぐれ,勅命で多忠方(おおの-ただかた)に胡飲酒(こんじゅ)の秘曲を伝授した。大治(だいじ)2年2月15日死去。69歳。日記に「雅実公記」。
