A nobleman in the late Heian period. A member of the Daigo-Genji clan. Son of the daughter of Gon Dainagon Minamoto Takakuni and Sadaiben Minamoto Tsuneyori. A trusted aide to Emperor Shirakawa. From Kurodo no kami he became a councilor in 1075, and after serving as Uemon no kami, Kebiishi betto, Jibukyo and other positions he became Tamibukyo and eventually became Dainagon (Senior Second Rank). He was called Suzaku Tamibukyo. He continued to play an active role as a trusted aide to the Emperor Shirakawa after he abdicated. He was also highly regarded by the regent family and participated in various consultations. According to the Gukansho, when Emperor Toba ascended to the throne in 1107, he wanted the retired Emperor Shirakawa to become regent because Fujiwara no Kinzane was a relative by marriage, but Shunmyo prevented this.

平安後期の公卿。醍醐源氏。権大納言源隆国と左大弁源経頼の娘の子。白河天皇の近臣。蔵人頭から承保2(1075)年参議となり,右衛門督,検非違使別当,治部卿などを経て民部卿となり,正二位大納言に至る。朱雀民部卿と号した。白河天皇譲位後も院近臣として活躍。また摂関家でも重んじられ,様々の諮問に与った。『愚管抄』によると,嘉承2(1107)年鳥羽天皇即位のとき,藤原公実が外戚であることから白河上皇に摂政となることを望んだが,俊明がそれを阻んだという。
