Mr. Miki - Mitsuki Uji

Japanese:
Mr. Miki - Mitsuki Uji
A feudal lord of Hida during the Sengoku period. He is said to have been sent to Takehara-go, southern Hida, as a deputy for the Kyogoku clan during the Oei period (1394-1428) and settled there, but his first appearance in a reliable historical document was in 1471. There are various theories about his origins, including that he was a member of the Taga clan, a branch of the Kyogoku clan. During the reign of Naoyori, he conquered most of Masuda County at the end of the Eisho period and built Sakurabora Castle in Hagiwara Kamimura. During the Daiei period (1521-28), he advanced into the Takayama Basin and established a power base in Hida through cooperation with followers of the Hongan-ji Temple, the Ema clan of Takahara, and the Anenokoji clan of Furukawa. During the reigns of Yoshiyori and Yoritsuna, there were complex alliances with surrounding forces such as the Uesugi and Takeda clans, but in 1560 (Eiroku 3), they succeeded the Anenokoji family name and became provincial governor, and after Oda Nobunaga conquered Mino, they maintained a friendly relationship with Nobunaga.
