A mountain in the western part of Ome City, Tokyo. It is 929m above sea level. It is also called Mt. Mitake or Bushu Mitake. It is said that Gyoki enshrined Zao Gongen there, and Mitake Shrine on the summit was rebuilt by Tokugawa Ieyasu as a shrine to protect Edo Castle, and the Mitake Ko, a religious association run by Edo townspeople, was very popular. There is a bus that runs from Mitake Station on the Ome Line to Takimoto, and a cable car runs from there.
