Japanese: 三田川[町] - みたがわ

An old town in Kanzaki County, eastern Saga Prefecture. It occupies the central part of the Saga Plain, with extensive rice paddies in the lowlands and citrus and other fruit cultivation thriving on the northern plateau. The Saga Eastern Core Industrial Park has been developed, with electronics and other factories moving in. The Nagasaki Main Line runs through the town. There are shell mounds and remains of a Yayoi period grid system. The Yoshinogari ruins are located in the west. In March 2006, it merged with Higashisefuri Village, Kanzaki County, to become Yoshinogari Town, Kanzaki County. ^{10.85 km2} . 9,651 people (2003).

佐賀県東部，神埼(かんざき)郡の旧町。佐賀平野の中部を占め，低地は水田が広く，北部の台地ではミカンなどの果樹栽培が盛ん。佐賀東部中核工業団地が造成され，電子工業などの工場が進出。長崎本線が通じる。弥生時代の貝塚や条理制遺構がある。西部に吉野ヶ里遺跡がある。2006年３月，神埼郡東脊振村と合併し町制。神埼郡吉野ヶ里町となる。10.85km²。9651人（2003）。
