Chinese steamed buns. They are considered a staple food in northern China. They are usually made from wheat flour, fermented with yeast (in China, old noodles containing natural yeast and lactic acid bacteria are used), and steamed in a round shape without filling. Huachuan (flower roll) is made by rolling mantou seeds into a flower shape. Those filled with meat or bean paste are called baozi (baozi). → Related items Manju Source : Heibonsha Encyclopedia About MyPedia Information |
