"Kakumeiki" - Kakumeiki

...The temple's land area in the early modern period was 350 koku. Among the temple treasures are 50 large study paintings by Ito Jakuchu, two portraits of Ashikaga Yoshimitsu, and one dialogue scroll by Mugai Sogen and Takamine Kenjitsu, all of which are important cultural properties. Other treasures include the calligraphy of successive emperors, including Emperor Gomizunoo, and the diary of Shosho, Kakumeiki, which can be said to be a treasure trove of information about the court culture during the Gomizunoo period. The Shariden is a three-story building facing the Kyokochi pond (burned down in 1950, rebuilt in 1955), and was nicknamed the Golden Pavilion because the inside and outside of the second and third floors were covered in gold leaf.
