A type of seaweed in the family Polytrichum communes, order Euonymus. It grows in colonies on rocks in the intertidal zone. The algae are bent like a magatama and have a circular constriction at the base. It is about 2.5 cm tall. It is found in warm seas such as the Ryukyu Islands, the Malay Archipelago, Polynesia, and the Indian Ocean.
