Annotated commentary on the Materia Medica Classic (English: Běn cǎo jīng jí zhù)

Japanese: 本草経集注 - ほんぞうきょうしっちゅう（英語表記）Běn cǎo jīng jí zhù

The correct name is "Collected Commentary on the Shennong Bencao Jing" and it is also called "Collected Commentary on the Bencao Jing". It is a Chinese herbal medicine (medicinal book) compiled by Tao Hongjing around 500. He used the Shennong Bencao (abbreviated as Benjing), which was one of the surviving herbal medicines at the time and contained 365 medicines, as the basis, and added 365 medicines and their explanations from the Famous Doctors' Bielulu (Bielu), to compile the Shennong Bencao Jing in three volumes, which contains a total of 730 medicines. The first volume is a general overview, and in addition to the text of the Shennong Bencao, it describes the dosage of medicines, preparation methods, names of medicines for different illnesses, and contraindications for use with other medicines.

正しくは《神農本草経集注》といい，《集注本草》とも呼ばれる。500年ころに陶弘景が編纂した中国の本草書(薬物書)である。彼は当時伝存していた本草書のうちで365の薬品を収載していた《神農本草》(《本経》と略す)を底本にし，それに《名医別録》(《別録》)の365の薬品とその説を加え，合計730の薬品を収録する3巻の《神農本草経》を編纂した。その上巻は総論で，《神農本草》の文のほかに薬物の分量，製剤法，病症別の用薬名と配合禁忌などを述べている。
