The training required to build a muscular body. The aim is to thoroughly train all the muscles of the body using various training machines such as barbells, dumbbells, and expanders, and to build amazing muscular beauty. At the end of the 19th century, Eugen Sandow (1867-1925) of Germany pioneered modern bodybuilding. He was fascinated by the beautiful physiques of old Italian statues, and studied anatomy to research training methods to develop individual muscles. As a result, he was able to lift a 122 kg barbell with one hand, and was called the strongest man in the world at that time. From 1890 to 1905, Sandow traveled around the world boasting about his strength, working to popularize the training methods he had developed, and bodybuilding suddenly became the center of attention. As early as 1898, a body contest to compete for physical beauty was held in England. Eventually, body contests began to be held all over the country, and today the well-known contests are the Mr. Olympia contest run by the International Federation of Body Building (IFBB) and the Mr. Universe contest run by the National Amateur Bodybuilders' Association (NABBA). Arnold Schwarzenegger, a popular movie actor known for his muscular physique, was the long-time champion of IFBB contests.
