[Shū Zhi - Peng Biography ] ② A vow made by Buddhas, Bodhisattvas, or gods to save all living beings. A vow. ※Jinnō Shōtōki (1339-43), part 2: "Even in the latter days, the power of the gods is incredible. This should be a sure sign that the oath will not be broken."
