Born in the 28th year of King Gojong's reign. In 1920, he founded the Sokyukai (later the Soaikai) in Japan. In 1932, he became the first Korean member of the House of Representatives (elected twice) and was a member of the Imperial Rule Assistance League. He petitioned for a Korean volunteer soldier system, etc. In June 1945, he founded the Daegi Party in Gyeongseong, and as its leader, attempted to wipe out independence activists but failed. He passed away in Tokyo on March 31, 1973, at the age of 83. He was from Gyeongsang Province and graduated from the Miryang Chinese Document School.
