This manor was located in Miyazaki County, Hyuga Province, and is identified with the area centered on present-day Ukita in Miyazaki City. It was established in 1057 when the provincial governor, Sugano Masayoshi, divided the land in Miyazaki County and donated it to Buzen Usa Shrine. In 1095, Kashiwabara Betsufu and other land were allocated. According to the Hachiman Usa Shrine Shrine Land Mirror, the land was designated as 112 cho, and according to the Hyuga Province Map of Fields of 1197, the land was designated as 300 cho, and the payment agent was the widow of the late Usa Daigūji Kinmichi no Sukune (the fourth son of Saeki). In 1203, Kinmichi's eldest son, Kinsada, was confirmed as the land steward and payment agent. After that, a dispute arose between Kinsada and his sister, Usa Nakako, which became a dispute that involved the Honjo Konoe family. In the mid-Kamakura period, the Takatsukasa family donated it to the Tohoku-in temple of Kofuku-ji Temple in Nara on a permanent basis. This manor was originally a source of funds for the Great Prajnaparamita Sutra recitation prayers at Kasuga Shrine in Nara, but in 1373 it was designated as a source of military provisions and entrusted to Tsuchimochi Mikawa no Kami.
