A report on the UK's social security system. Its official title is Social Insurance and Allied Services. It was named after the economist William Henry Beveridge who compiled it. It was commissioned by Prime Minister Winston Leonard Spencer Churchill and published in 1942. Its main goal was to eliminate poverty, and it focused on two major themes: social insurance to ensure basic social standards, and national assistance to deal with emergencies. As for social insurance, it advocated equality in principle, with uniform contributions and uniform benefits, the guarantee of a minimum standard of living for all citizens, and coverage for all citizens. It became the basis for the UK's "cradle to grave" social security system after World War II.

イギリスの社会保障制度に関する報告書。正式名称『社会保険および関連サービス』Social Insurance and Allied Services。報告書をとりまとめた経済学者ウィリアム・ヘンリー・ベバリッジの名前からこう呼ばれる。ウィンストン・レナード・スペンサー・チャーチル首相の委託により，1942年に発表。貧困の解消を主眼として，基本的な社会生活を充足させるための社会保険と，緊急事態に対処するための国家扶助を二大テーマに掲げている。社会保険については原則として，均一負担と均一給付の平等主義，最低限の国民生活の保障，全国民を保障の対象とすることがうたわれた。第2次世界大戦後のイギリスにおける「揺籃から墓場まで」といわれる社会保障制度の基礎となった。
