Hekikoku (English spelling) pì gǔ

Hekikoku (English spelling) pì gǔ
One of the Chinese Taoist arts. "Bi" means to avoid, and "ku" means grain. Taoist arts believed that when grains are digested in the body, the residue creates a cloudy qi, which can cause illness or impede the effects of elixirs. Therefore, the art of abstaining from food was practiced, in which pine nuts, mushrooms, medicinal herbs, etc. were eaten instead of grains to keep the qi in the body clear, but at the same time, it was believed necessary to practice the art of "gyoku", which involves directly ingesting "energy" from the air and circulating it throughout the body. Japanese:
